Call the WPAC Office (916) 972-9722 to receive a copy of the latest newsletter or if you are unable to reach a chairperson listed for each activity. All activities are held in the WPAC Meeting Room unless otherwise noted below.

    • Applebee’s

      Applebee’s Citrus Heights Applebee’s, 6900 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights (near Costco). Meet for dinner 2nd & 4th Thursdays each month at 4:00 PM, Call Gloria 307-258-4812.

    • Billiards

      Billiards with WPAC Sacramento Hard Times Billiards at 5656 Garfield Avenue    Every Tuesday each month on Tuesdays, at 12:30 PM-4:00 PM price is $3.00.  Food available – no host.  Call Jackie 916-505-6795

    • Book Club

      Meet at the WPAC Office on the 1st Thursday of the month at 1:30 PM. The book of the month for September is “The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden,” by Jonas Jonasson. The book for October will be “The Day the World Came to Town,” by Jim Defede.

    • Bowling — CANCELLED ONLY ON 9/2/2024

      Bowling with WPAC Join the lively bowling group every Monday each month at 2:00 PM at Country Club Lanes at 2600 Watt Avenue, Sacramento (Corner of Watt Ave. and El Camino Ave.).  Cost to bowl is $5.75 for three games.  Shoe rental is free.  Join the group for dinner after bowling.  Call Margaret 916-967-1500 or Joanne 916-616-0191.

    • Card Games

      Play cards with WPAC There are many card games going on in the Meeting Room. Find your game and join or start a new group!

        • Poker Party

          Poker and dice are played on the 3rd Thursday each month at 2:00 PM  – Call Beth 916-342-0784.

    • Crafts

      Knit with WPAC  The Assistance League provides the yarn and our members make knitted and crocheted items for distribution to people in need. Bring a project to work on (and a bag lunch, if desired).  3rd Thursday each month at 10:30 AM. Call Sharon 916-487-2002

    • Karaoke and Komedy

      Comedy and Karaoke Night  Bring your talents, sense of humor, and some of your favorite jokes to share. We meet at the WPAC Office on the 3rd Friday of the month at 6:00 PM. Call Dawna at 916-220-5649 for more information.

    • Ladies Coffee, Breakfast and Conversation — DISCONTINUED EFFECTIVE 9/20/2024

    • Wednesday Dinners

      Wednesday dinners with WPAC Everyone is welcome to join WPAC on the 3rd Wednesday each month at 4:00 PM at Brookfields, 11135 Folsom Blvd, Rancho Cordova.  Call Phyllis 916-635-6412 to RSVP.

    • WPAC™ Walkers

      WPAC Walkers  Walkers set their own pace and distance. Everyone is welcome.
      Every Thursday at 9:00 AM. Call Elizabeth at 916-971-3474. Walking group meets for a walk on the American River Levee in Sierra Oaks at Kadema, near Clunie, across from Oak Meadow Park.

Widowed Persons Association of California, Sacramento (WPAC™)

 

A non-profit, non-denominational community service organization dedicated to helping widowed men and women overcome grief after the loss of their spouse.

WPAC™ offers Grief Recovery Programs consisting of weekly Sunday Support, and a six-week Grief Recovery Workshop, held 4 times per year. WPAC also offers an extensive Social Activities calendar.
