Social Activities

Call the WPAC Office at (916) 972-9722 to receive a copy of the latest newsletter or if you have questions regarding any Activity listed below. Office hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All activities are held in the WPAC Meeting Room unless otherwise noted below.

    • Applebee’s

      Applebee’s Citrus Heights Applebee’s, 6900 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights (near Costco). We meet for dinner on the Second and Fourth Thursdays of every month at 4:00 PM.
      DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS, THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED ON NOVEMBER 27 AND DECEMBER 25, 2025.

    • Billiards

      Billiards with WPAC Sacramento Hard Times Billiards at 5656 Garfield Avenue. We meet every Tuesday of the month at 12:30 PM-4:00 PM. Price is $3.00.  Food is available – no host.

    • Book Club

      We meet at the WPAC Meeting Room on the First Thursday of the month at 1:30 PM. The December book is “Britt – Marie was Here” by Fredrik Dackman. A CHAIRPERSON FOR THE BOOK CLUB IS NECESSARY IF THIS ACTIVITY IS TO CONTINUE AFTER JANUARY 1, 2026.

    • Bowling

      Join the lively bowling group every Monday at 2:00 PM at Country Club Lanes at 2600 Watt Avenue, Sacramento (Corner of Watt Ave. and El Camino Ave.).  Cost to bowl is $6.25 for three games.  Shoe rental is free.  Join the group for dinner after bowling.

    • Bunco

      Join a lively Bunco game on the First Wednesday of every month at 1:30 PM in the WPAC Meeting Room. Bunco is a dice game played with temporary teams of 2 people. There will be a $5.00 buy-in to play. Prizes depend on the number playing. Game will be limited to 24 people. Please call the WPAC office at (916) 972-9722 to reserve your spot.

    • Card Games

      Play cards with WPAC There are many card games going on in the Meeting Room. Find your game and join or start a new group!

        • Hand and Foot

          Hand and Foot is an easy card game to learn and we have members willing to teach.  We meet every Tuesday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, and on the First and Second Saturdays of each month at 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

        • Poker Party

          Poker is played on the Third Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM in the WPAC Meeting Room.
          DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS, THE NEXT POKER PARTY WILL BE HELD ON JANUARY 15, 2026.

    • Crafts

      Knit with WPAC  The Assistance League provides the yarn and our members make knitted and crocheted items for distribution to people in need. Bring a project to work on (and a bag lunch, if desired).  We meet on the Third Thursday of each month at 10:30 AM in the WPAC Meeting Room.

    • Karaoke and Komedy

      Comedy and Karaoke Night  Bring your talents, sense of humor, and some of your favorite jokes to share. We meet at the WPAC Meeting Room on the Third Friday of the month at 6:00 PM.
      PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS CANCELED ON DECEMBER 19, 2025 AND WILL RESUME ON JANUARY 16, 2026.

    • Lido Cafe Breakfast

      WPAC at Lido Cafe Lido Cafe, 7907 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael. Please join us for breakfast on the First Saturday of each month at 8:30 AM. No host.

    • Line Dancing

      WPAC Line Dancing Join us for Line Dancing in the WPAC Meeting Room on the Second and Fourth Thursdays of every month at 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

    • Mexican Train Dominoes

      Mexican Train with WPAC  Join in the fun playing Mexican Train with WPAC on the Fourth Saturday of the month at 6:00 PM in the WPAC Meeting Room.
      DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS, THIS EVENT IS CANCELED ON DECEMBER 27, 2025 AND WILL RESUME ON JANUARY 24, 2026.

    • Out and About

      WPAC Out and About We have various activities, held at different locations and times during the month. Check the current Newsletter and Calendar.

    • Travel

      Travel with WPAC Come travel with WPAC. Call the office at (916) 972-9722 for information and reservations.

    • Wednesday Dinners

      Wednesday dinners with WPAC Everyone is welcome to join WPAC on the Third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM at Brookfield’s Restaurant, located at 11135 Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova.

    • WPAC™ Walkers

      WPAC Walkers  Walkers set their own pace and distance. Everyone is welcome. Held every Thursday at 9:00 AM! The Walking Group meets for a walk on the American River Levee in Sierra Oaks at Kadema, near Clunie, across from Oak Meadow Park.

A non-profit, non-denominational community service organization dedicated to helping widowed men and women overcome grief after the loss of their spouse.

WPAC™ offers Grief Recovery Programs consisting of weekly Sunday Support, and a six-week Grief Recovery Workshop, held 4 times per year. WPAC also offers an extensive Social Activities calendar.
